The SRC uses an integrated programming strategy in which analysis, program design, and execution are coordinated across three response areas, including all zones of political control: the northwest, northeast, and southern-central regions of Syria. The Consortium Members acknowledge that a Program Management Unit (PMU) has been and will be essential to the Consortium’s ability to accomplish its goals. To help the consortium become a thought leader in resilience-building strategies for complex crises and a pioneer in integrated resilience programming, the SRC seeks a talented and highly driven individual.

The Consortium Director will also oversee the SRC, including the PMU, which has the responsibility of overseeing SRC members and communicating on the Steering Committee’s behalf with the Consortium’s various grant recipients and donors in order to facilitate the following: effective, cogent, and efficient programming; enhanced monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL); effective communication, representation, and advocacy; and leadership in donor engagement.

NGO-CONSORTIUM DIRECTOR

Education:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Master’s degree preferred

Experience:

  • 10 or more years of experience in the humanitarian area and at least 5 years of senior management expertise in resilience programming or a similar subject

Languages:

  • Be fluent in oral and written English
